Long story short it looks like my puffers won.
I wanted to put one of the many RBTAs (entirely different story of 1 becoming 6) in my house in my Fowler, so my Maroon clown pair could host it. The tankmates are eels and 2 puffers. I thought my biggest worry would be keeping the parameters straight for the anemone to thrive. WRONG!!!!!!!!!! My puffers decide during the day yesterday that the RBTA seemed like a good snack! Luckily I got it out before it could do much damage to the water quality.
The puffers are back to swimming normally after what seemed like being in shock or dazed all last night.
Reminds me of that age old saying...if it ain't broke don't fix it. My clown can continue to host the preskimmer box.
