Par 38 on Fluval edge?

I am planning on ordering a par 38 light tommorrow. It is 19 watts.
to light my Fluval edge reef tank. My current light is 12 watts and it is barely providing enough light ever since some LEDs stopped working. Is it ok to just throw this light on? Will my corals bleach? How high above my tank should this be and should it be over the opening of the edge or over the glass on top? Are the 80 degree optics better then the 60 degree optics? Is there anyway to waterproof this light?

Do you have a link to the light (seems like a weird wattage)? What are dimensions of the tank? 60 will be tighter and light penetrate more but might have to be hung higher so depends on your mounting options.
