I have two golfball sized balls of chaeto in my fuge but they are not growing. Neither are getting clear or have dead spots. There is definitely some nitrates and phosphates in the tank so it should grow and am using this light http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001M5CUL4/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000RWPY98&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0XSK4W6TXWEQKZTSWEX6

I was looking at melev's reef fuge bulb page and wanted to purchase that one being that it show that it works. Looking in Home Depot, I couldn't find that bulb and wasn't really sure what the equivalent would be to that one. That bulb that Melev used will cost me double what the bulb would cost if I ordered it online and I would rather have it now than later.

What readily available bulbs are being used with good growth?

Also try to tumble your chaeto with low to moderate water flow.

The chaeto does tumble in my fuge area of the sump. I have found a few places that sell the same bulb but they all charge $10 or so for shipping. I would rather be able to just go to a store to buy a similar bulb. The problem is that not all bulbs have what Kelvin they are. It'll just say the wattage.
