Hi,
Nothing earthshattering.
Since my Rio failure July 11th, I've been running carbon in my system. For the first time in about 4 months, some of my corals have started sending out sweeper tentacles (hammer and closed brain). I have maintained the same routine (except for a large water change following the pump failure) and added no new corals.
I think what is happening is that the carbon has removed an excess of chemical defences that my corals had gotten used to from each other (along with the rio meltdown junk), and due to the slow turnover of my sump system, the chemicals are building up again and the corals are reacting to it.
I guess it's either time to let my system return to the way it was before, with no carbon, or to keep carbon in my system and renew it.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mitch
