I have a dying fungia coral which got stung my chalice collection ;(

It started last week with a small spotch of flesh gone and now has spread to almost an entire skeleton. Should I toss the coral out to trash or should I save the skeleton and hope it reproduces babies?

Definitely save it. There's a good chance it'll produce anthocauli. Just leave it somewhere in your tank where it can get light. At best, you'll wind up with a bunch of babies, at worst, a neat looking piece of live rock. ;)
