For the first time in 30 years of reef keeping I ordered a clean-up crew, snails in particular. I could not understand why the vendor suggested ordering 150 of each type. So I order 12. I did not realize these snails were smaller than pees. LOL!! They all quickly disappeared in my 300 gallon reef tank!!

Not the vendors fault at all!

Yes. at 30 cents each, they are 1/10 the size of what you get in the store. for a 300 gallon, I'd go with 3000 dwarf cerith snails, 600 hermit crabs, and 300 to 600 astrea snails. 6 to 8 urchins, etc. etc. you're going to need another 1200 to 1800 shells, heh.
