Kalkwasser & TDS

Hi! I just started dosing kalkwasser, it's being dosed via ATO water into a kalk stirrer (Avast Marine K1) then dripped into the sump. It's been working well, but while doing some maintenance some of the water from the stirrer reversd siphoned into the ATO reservoir. The water in the reservoir's TDS tested about 25-30ppm, I panicked and threw out the water and filtered a new batch. Is TDS in kalk water normal?

Out of curiosity, I just took some new filter water (0 TDS) and mixed a small amount (Salifert spoon), tested it with a handheld TDS meter and it error-out [Err], assuming it was so high the meter was no longer reading it.

If you dissolve kalkwasser into the water it will will come up as a tds on the meter. just like salt water comes up of the charts. i would say its nothing to worry about.

Gone for 10 days? I say reduce the risk of overdosing ANYTHING and only run skimmer and ATO...
