Apex probes placement in tank

I was wondering were you guys put the probes for PH, temperature, etc.. in your tanks? Sump or behind the overflow? I'm thinking the temperature probe shouldn't be in the sump due to a false readings. What do you guys think?

Ok, is it possible to get a false reading on the temperature if the probe is in the sump? You know, pumps generating heat and such.

if im not mistaking they do mention to put temp probe where ur drain is and do not put the ph probe next to it so i have mine sitting my fuge

You just want to keep the temp probe away from heaters. Keep in mind the flow of water... if you place the temp probe downstream of where the heater is, you will get false readings. If you have 2 temp probes on both sides then you don't have to worry so much...

One of my buddies keeps the temperature probe on the right side of the overflow and the PH on the other side. He swears by that!
