Like most of us we don't want our wires and gadget showing off to the side of our display fish tank. 1st off i live in an apt. so i don't have a second room or a basement to attach and hide the plumbing, etc. like I've seen a few people have which is fine.
however i have my calcium reactor set-up on one side of my tank and my chiller, apex controller and my led lights ballasts on the other side.
To be honest my girl hates the the look and so do I. At 1st i had all the apex controller secured and attached in my stand but after a few months the salt and moisture ruin my EB8 and computer that i had to replace it. I got that idea on YouTube and it looked great but it didn't work out at the end.
I've seen some people over extend their fish tank stand longer than the tank but am worried about the support plus the chiller and ballast need plenty of air circulation.
my next step is build a separate cabinet. Any ideas? thanks for reading

I would take the apex off the wall n hang it to the side of the stand, tie all the cables neatly and hide them inside the stand. I would do the same with the other outlet thing u got by the reactor.
It will not hide ur equipment but all the mess of cables will b hiding behind ur tank and inside ur stand.
I know what is to have a girlfriend telling u it looks bad.

I would build 2 small cabinets for both your chiller and reactor. I would leave the back of the cabinet for the chiller open as it needs to vent. I would also add a vent to the front of the cabinet for the chiller so it can draw air in. Maybe install 2 pc fans to draw fresh air in and exhaust it out. Take the apex and other electronics and buy a small enclosure possibly a water resistant one, paint it black and run all electric wires thru the side and run the surge protector wires thru the bottom and to your outlet. Dont forget to make drip loops.
