I agree with Randy 100% keep the GFO it's much more beneficial..a separate reactor for other media isn't a bad idea in addition but definitely keep the GFO going especially it it's steadily keeping it at 0.

I'll keep my BRS GFO reactor as is. Gave away my chaeto this morning. Already filled up the old chaeto space with small marco rock pieces. And I'll hold off on the carbon bio media for the time being instead of making too many changes all at once. Thanks.
