Solanas Glass lid?

Hello, I came home last night from work and found the glass lid from my Solanas 34 all broken inside the tank. No one was home all day. All I can think of is that it got to hot from the metal halide and shattered when some water hit it. Has this happened to anyone else? I would assume that the company would make the lid able to withstand this. I'm using the stock disco ball with 14k
Phoenix bulb? I'm worried if I order a replacement that it'll just happen again.

What are you using the glass top for? You don't really need it. You can have mine if you want.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. Have to see if I can get out by you. I have a golden dwarf eel in there and would like to keep him off the carpet.
