Can you post pics of your nano's with Led fixtures. I have a 12gal JBJ nano and want to remove cover and hang a led fixture over it and would love to see what you have on yours as well as brand of led fixture your using.

I am cycling a 2Gallon Spec pico with enahnced LED fixture, when it's ready I will share the pics and experience. 1 to 2 more weeks. I am very excited.

Dace,
If you are not doing SPS, I think a 15x1W Par may be enough.
For SPS tanks, I always think a minmum of 2.5W led/ gallon in most cases. Since nanos are so shallow, I think 2W/G may be enough.

Here you go, my pico Fuval Spec 2G

Being a manufacturer of LEDs, I have the lury of different LEDs to choose from. :thrash:
The first pic with 9W of royal blue is too purplish to me so I switched to 6W blue, 3W While(12,000K)
I like the second choice a lot better but the pic does not show the actual color as in person because the strong white light throws the iphone camera completely off balance.

The tank is slightly more than one month old starting with everything from an established tank except the EV sand. At the 3rd week, there is a outbreak of cyano, because I dumped 3 medium size heads of a LPS, from another tank, that peeled off the colony and hope miraculously, they will gain back the skeleton. Well of course, miracle does not happen. Hair algae follows. Hair algae started to disappear last week. Corals are growing pretty good all along. All the corals are taken off from the troubled parts of the mother colony except the two little baby BTA. They grow a lot from a pencil head size to now a dim/nickel size

I ordered the ecoxotic strip LEDs. I got 2 12k white strips and 1 blue actinic strip. They will be going on my fluval edge. Shipment arrives from California next Wednesday so until then, I'll be tracking my shipment from the edge of my seat.

Wow 60W LED over 14g seems over kill. Beware of sun burn!!!

I have been running the fixture since the day after the swap and the corals have never looked this good. I'm keeping Zoanthids and Chalice in there. The highest coral is about 12" from the light

Maybe the semiled are weaker than they say...:scratchch
Good thing I saw this because I was going to order Cree light chips.

Hey All,

I am in the process of trying to upgrade my LED lighting. Here are a few pics of my LEDS. I have Evil Par38's, 1 with 60 degree optics, the other with 80 degree optics.

You can see in the second picture the 60 degree optics casting a pretty big spotlight in the back right corner.

I am hoping to upgrade to the Maxspect G2 110W LED light. Anyone got opinions?
