An update to this thread.

The video was removed by Youtube!

However, I have seen an version of the whole documentary and hopefully will get a formal copy from the director/creator of it. It's the guy in Flipper the TV show who directed or create this stunning convert filming, with lots of spy gear. In a statement, he regreted doing the Flipper show which created so many dolphin captivities around the world.

To make the story short, The "Private Space" where this slaughtering happened every year at Sept is removed after the complete version is shown in IWC by him, and the dolphin meat is removed from the food menu of Taiji where this cove is, by the brave actions of the 2 Japnese councilmen, against their culture of 110% loyalty to their superior, who blew the whistle about mercury food poisoning in Dolphin's meat. According to the film's conclusion, the act is only due to a very small group of people in the city where other citizens there do not even know about it. But some how this group of people get a hold of the local government to help them secure that space from outsiders, probably including their own media. After the exposion of this whole documentary, Japanese media has started to cover mercury poisoning in the area.

The movie is "The Cove" and its very interesting. You guys gotto check it out when you get time. And its not "ritual" hunting, its about corruption, money, and alot of misguided local fishermen. The locals believe the increasing number of dolphins every year are the source of low fish populations for the fishing industry and that they are maintaining the fish populations by killing off dolphins.

Not only the locals, even some puppets of the whaling countries, countries with big fishing interests and developed countries(these countires should have enough resources to research the effect of pollution on ocean lifes) are leaning towards it during meetings of the IWC year by year. Oddly, these countries NEVER put industrialization into the equation and scale back the pollution they created, creating and will be creating.
