I am helping a friend set up a reef tank and he got a refuguim filter.
We put live sand in it with live rock and some plants.
Wanted to know if i should put anything else in the filter.
Also I can't get skimmer to work anyone have any ideas.

Just in case you missed, it needs a light too. I put pods and worms in it.

You have to be more specific in how the skimmer does not work.
