Is a SunPod 1x250W MH light to much light for 37g tank??

Hi,

No, especially if the tank is tall. some people have two 250w bulbs over 40g breeders that they grow frags out of.... if you intend to keep SPS then i think you are good. I would be concerned about heat though....

The tank is 25" deep I am not for sure what I am going keep yet .
I just don't want to get something and find out i need more light later.

we have a 384 watt light on our 30 gallon cube. 250 halide with actinic suppliment. everything is happy.

A 250w Metal Halide has the correct penetration power for your tank. You will be able to keep most any coral as long as you have the right filtration and flow. What are the dimensions of your tank?
