HELP! I tried to soak a zoo frag that had some hair algae that kept coming back over and over again in a 50/50 solution I made up of 10ml of 3% H202 and Tank saltwater.... I accidentally knocked the cup of the 50/50 solution (10ml H202) into my frag tank which is about 40gal total.... what do I do?
NOTE I have never used H202 ever for this tank

10ml of the 3% over-the-counter drugstore h2o2 is nothing to worry about.

I have caused bleaching by using 30ml of the 35% food-grade h2o2 in a 20 gallon system (treatment outside the tank but had not rinsed before replacing). Nothing died except one shrimp, and bleached corals recovered in about a month to 6 weeks. That would be the equivalent of about 70x your dosage.

Been a few days, hope it did ok.

YES! So far so good. The results of me dropping 10ml of 3% H202 into 40g of saltwater was
Frag that soaked for a few minutes in the 50/50 solution = No more algae, no losses
Tank = egg crate no effect on algae

I do not know if the age of H202 is a factor since Ive read a lot of dosing regimens stating to start with a new bottle...
I will resume dosing today, 3ml every 12 hours for 2 weeks maximum .

If somebody with experience has different idea I'm all ears.

I soaked most of my zoas in straight 3% peroxide for 20 minutes with no problems
